Survey: UAE consumer sentiment during the coronavirus crisis

While consumers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are optimistic about a quick economic recovery from the pandemic, they are still experiencing declining income and are cutting back on their spending in all categories, except household essentials. Consumers are more price conscious and are increasingly looking for ways to save. Most consumers have also adopted new shopping behaviors such as grocery and restaurant deliveries, as they do not feel fully comfortable being in public spaces.

These exhibits are based on survey data collected in the UAE from January 25 to February 10, 2021. Check back for regular updates on UAE consumer sentiments, behaviors, income, spending, and expectations.
