Brings marketing and sales expertise to agricultural, chemical, and oil-field services and equipment companies in North America and Europe, guiding clients on merger and acquisition issues

Kun is adept at helping clients with a range of marketing and sales issues and has particularly deep experience in commercial transformation. She also has broad experience in merger and acquisition management, with a focus on commercial integration and synergy capture.

Examples of Kun’s recent client projects include the following:

  • Leading the growth-transformation and cost-optimization efforts of a large global specialty-chemical manufacturer, resulting in $250 million in improvement for earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA). The transformation also enabled a successful spin-off and IPO of one of the manufacturer’s divisions, with 2 percent EBITDA uplift from pricing optimization, SKU rationalization, and asset consolidation.
  • Advising an agricultural-input and technology company centered on environmental and farming sustainability. This led to 41 percent growth in demand generation with retailers, 43 percent reduction in channel inventory, and 30 percent improvement in EBITDA and cash flow.
  • Supporting a large global agricultural-input producer. The project led to $1 billion identified in margin improvement and more than $300 million captured in the first 2 years as a result of a commercial diagnostic and following implementation planning.

Before joining McKinsey, Kun worked as a commodity manager at a developer, manufacturer, and supplier of products for vehicles and industrial, agricultural, and power-generation equipment.
