Pali Bhat (BOST, SLVY 04-04, 05-08)
Chief Product Officer, Reddit
How does an 18-year-old online social platform that serves 52 million daily users improve scalability and user experience, all while integrating AI solutions and protecting its intellectual property? These are the issues at the heart of Reddit’s first Chief Product Officer, Pali Bhat.
Hired away from Google in 2021, Pali is leading a simplification of Reddit’s 150,000 active communities, hundreds of millions of discussions, and billions of comments. This year, Reddit introduced search functionalities, helping new and power users cut through the noise to find the most relevant conversations. “When coming up with new products, you need to ensure that it solves a pain point or enables users to do something they weren’t able to do previously,” explained Pali in a recent interview for McKinsey Product Academy. “The goal is to create enduring value that stands the test of time.”
Before joining Google in 2016, Pali held product roles at SAP, Swingtide, and BowStreet Inc.
