Like many major companies, McKinsey’s name, logo, and the identities of its people may from time to time be used as part of a scam or fraud. These instances are uncommon, disappointing, and extremely unfortunate.
Care should be taken in communicating with anyone claiming to be from McKinsey who is soliciting money or offering an investment opportunity. McKinsey is not an investment company; as such, any communication claiming to be from McKinsey that solicits money or offers an investment opportunity is fraudulent.
Our people will always use the email domain @mckinsey.com or @external.mckinsey.com. It’s best not to engage with unsolicited voice calls or mobile texts, which may also be used by scammers.
If you wish to verify whether a communication is from McKinsey, please contact your nearest McKinsey office. Our colleagues will be happy to help. We encourage anyone affected by, or suspicious of a scam or fraud, to contact their local authorities.
