Welcome! I’m a partner in our Dallas office, and a co-leader of Access Parents, our McKinsey network for parents and loved ones of children with disabilities, neurodivergence, chronic illnesses, and mental health challenges. I am a father of three (picture above), including a daughter with special needs. This network has become an important part of my personal and professional life, as it is a community of parents who help each other navigate some of the challenges that arise as parent of a child with special needs.

Access Parents was born when two colleagues sat next to each other on a plane and realized they both worked for McKinsey—and that they were both parents of children with special needs. By the time the colleagues landed, they had shared their stories, learned from one another, and realized how much firm members with special needs children could benefit from one another's practical lessons and emotional support.
This network provides a safe space for members to share personal ideas and information about medical practitioners, treatments, and therapies from which our children may benefit. We also work to raise awareness around issues associated with parenting children with special needs, both professionally and personally. Our members have children of all ages, from newborns to adult children, with both common and rare conditions.
There is no shortage of stories about the extent to which our colleagues are willing to help one another, and how important it is to connect with people who have shared experiences. We also recognize that not everyone feels comfortable openly discussing their child’s condition, so please know that members of this network are welcome to share only what they choose.

I’ve not met a more inspiring group of colleagues at the firm. If you are the parent of a child with special needs and you join McKinsey, our network will be here to support you.
