Your Impact

Panorama supports over 300 clients each year across different regions, so you will have the opportunity to have a truly global footprint. In this role, you will experience a unique combination of client service, building of tech-enabled tools, and knowledge work at McKinsey.  
You will contribute to the successful delivery of client engagements in the realm of banking strategy and innovation. This includes working on topics such as creating long-term strategies, finding new growth opportunities for our clients within our clients’ core business and beyond (i.e., ecosystem strategies), building digital businesses, and transforming operating models (i.e., agile at scale projects). 
You will analyze innovative solutions and companies, create financial models, and turn complex information into actionable recommendations. 
As you gain more expertise, you will collaborate with other teams within the firm to share your knowledge.
Our Panorama team has developed several tools that enable our client service, including scalable, microservices-based large quant databases, novel advanced analytics and AI-driven services. You will be involved in maintaining and developing these products.

Your Growth

You will work on a temporary basis (up to 1-year contract) in our Budapest office as part of McKinsey Panorama. 
Panorama is an asset-based consulting team serving financial institutions worldwide on strategy and innovation for over 20 years, utilizing advanced technology, unique data, and deep expertise.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in economics/finance, engineering, technology or social sciences; master's degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in technology companies, startups, investment firms, financial institutions or consulting is a plus
  • Intellectual curiosity along with strong analytical capability and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding and deep passion for financial services, digital solutions, innovations and related macro trends
  • Experienced user of MS Office, especially Excel
  • R, Python or other advanced analytics tool or data science knowledge is a plus
  • Aptitude to synthesize information from diverse sources and present findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and excitement to work in an ambiguous and results-oriented environment
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and keep tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
