Your Impact

In this role, you will support our project teams by developing deep industry knowledge. You will leverage a variety of internal and external information sources to collect, analyze, and interpret data and synthesize the findings in the form of PowerPoint presentations, written memos, and Excel models. You will perform market and financial analyses for a range of topics and industries to address specific client challenges.

You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our knowledge assets, driving innovation in Firm knowledge and delivery through special projects, both in collaboration with client teams and independently.

You will be part of a global, dynamic, and rewarding work environment. You will learn both hard and soft skills, honing your problem solving and communication skills. This internship program will enhance your professional and personal development through mentoring and coaching sessions with tenured colleagues as well as through Firm trainings.

This is a full-time program that will last 12 months.

Your Growth

You will be based in our Athens office, joining the Geographic Client Capability Network team.
The Athens Client Capabilities Team is part of the geographic knowledge group with analysts dedicated to covering the primary sectors of McKinsey’s client activities in Greece and Cyprus. The Client Capabilities Network is a global powerhouse, comprising over 8,000 knowledge professionals who collaborate closely with our consultants and clients to generate distinctive insights and proprietary knowledge.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Strong academic background in economics, business, or a related field (working experience will be considered an advantage)
  • Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative business research and analysis 
  • Solid understanding of financial, economic and general business concepts and terminology 
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) with experience in data organization and report writing
  • Familiarity with research methodologies and public data sources 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment, managing multiple research projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek, with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively
