Who You'll Work With

You’ll join our office as part of the Managed Cloud Services (MCS) group under Secure Foundation. It is an entity within McKinsey's global IT organization that provides IT support services primarily to McKinsey Firm members and clients. The team is responsible for managing the Firm’s global IT infrastructure and applications.

 
You'll be part of the Data & Analytics Platform Team within SF-MCS, which provides Operations & Engineering services for McKinsey’s business operations, and architects solutions primarily around Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics platforms in a heterogeneous, distributed environment spanning different domains, data centers, and clouds. In addition to technical skills, an engineer is expected to have other essential skills, including negotiation, critical thinking, problem-solving, process orientation, and business acumen. Operational and Engineering IT services are provided from Gurugram, India; the USA; and San José, Costa Rica.
Additionally, Operational Engineering teams are in Gurugram, India; Prague, Czech Republic; and Düsseldorf, Germany. You'll be working out of the Gurugram, India office.

Your impact within our firm

You'll provide 24/5 plus weekend on call support, for the Data Analytics Landscape, which includes SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), AWS/Azure Analytical Products.
You'll work with stakeholders and vendors, troubleshooting operational issues, evaluating user requirements, and recommending appropriate SAP Analytics, AWS/Azure cloud solutions and architectures that confirm to the Firm’s security standards. Support is provided from Gurgaon (India), the USA, and San José (Costa Rica).
You'll work directly with global customers, resolving escalated issues related to the SAP Analytics & Cloud Analytical Workbench infrastructure. They recommend changes, engineer solutions, and participate in implementation efforts. Additionally, the engineer reviews, develops, recommends, enforces, and adheres to SAP Analytics and Cloud Analytical Workbench system policies and standards, including those related to high availability, access management, and scalability.
In this role, you'll be open to develop, adapt, and deliver solutions in emerging cloud database technologies, as required by changing business needs. Communicate and interact effectively with both internal and external business contacts, including other members of the IT organization, stakeholders (such as portfolio managers, product owners, and technical architects), contractors, and vendors.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology from an accredited college/university
  • 5 years of work experience in managing, supporting & engineering of Business Intelligence/Analytical tools like SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere, HANA Database Cloud, Datawarehouse on HANA, Cloud Analytical Products offered by AWS/Azure.
  • 5 years of work experience in AWS/Azure Cloud Architectural concepts like Networking, Security, Databases (Relational and/or NoSQL), Operating Systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows), Storage
  • Strong Working knowledge with Cloud (AWS/Azure) Analytical Products – AWS (S3, CLI, Athena, Glue, RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, SageMaker etc.), Azure (DataFactory, SQL, Synapse, Blob Storage, etc.), Data Bricks.
  • Understanding scripting languages: Java, Python, Shell-scripting.
  • Understanding of Data Visualization Tools like Tableau, Power BI, KNIME.
  • Relevant SAP, AWS, Azure certifications would be a big plus point.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Distinct quality mindset and service attitude, Strong zero defect & DevOps mindset
  • Good understanding of Agile /Scrum framework
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work both independently and in project teams in a remote team environment
