As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer II at McKinsey, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of our data infrastructure.
You will manage and maintain data pipelines and refresh processes to ensure the timely and accurate availability of data for critical business needs.
In this capacity, you will investigate and resolve pipeline failures by conducting root cause analyses and implementing effective remediations.
Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing and maintaining data pipelines to support robust data integration and transformation efforts.
You will design and build processes that facilitate efficient data ingestion, transformation, qualitative analysis, and dependency management.
Collaborating closely with data provider teams, you will address pipeline issues that impact data freshness and accuracy. When discrepancies arise that cannot be resolved by feeder teams, you will take the lead in raising and implementing data fixes to ensure the integrity of data in reporting layers.
In addition to operational responsibilities, you will spearhead the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of tools and processes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our workflows.
You will identify opportunities for process improvement, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance the sustainability of existing data pipelines. Ensuring compliance with data governance and security policies will be a key aspect of your role.
Collaboration will be central to your success, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data translators, data scientists, and data visualization engineers, to deliver exceptional client service.
