Your day-to-day tasks will include WIP management (project-based economics), Engage (project life cycle) management, Time reporting, Planning and forecasting, bill rates (Pricing) management, and Office P/L review.
As a Finance Specialist, in addition to your responsibility for project-based economics and operational finance you will be expected to leverage your finance knowledge to provide analytical insights and process guidance as well as leading projects within the function. You will be responsible for the implementation of controls and ensuring compliance with firm accounting policies, as well as checking the accuracy of monthly results for the cell. The Finance Specialist owns accounting processes, projects and initiatives with little oversight and drives innovation on processes, controls, reporting and compliance. In this role, you will gather and analyze financial information and develop and communicate recommendations.
You'll lead selected projects and initiatives to drive change in processes and operations (e.g., enhancing financial models to include standard metrics and benchmarks that assist senior leaders in making strategic decisions). You'll act as a thought partner to the office/function leadership, actively influencing decisions and ensuring compliance with relevant statutory guidelines and laws. You'll coach junior colleagues in developing strategies to ensure that financial and/or client service information is accurately generated and effectively communicated. The Finance Specialist will also be responsible for ad-hoc tasks/projects, as required by the cell.
You’ll also have the opportunity to gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. You'll receive training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues. From time to time, you will have the opportunity to participate in regional and global finance related initiatives.
