Do you want to do work that matters, alongside supportive leaders who will help you grow faster than you ever thought possible? Are you a creative problem-solver who is energized by challenges? You’ve come to the right place.
You’ll be based in either the Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York, San Francisco, Toronto or Washington DC office as part of our Internal Communications and Engagement team.
You will join a group of communications professionals within the firm’s Reach and Engagement function. These colleagues help ensure that appropriate insights reach designated audiences, building awareness and engagement with McKinsey’s distinctive knowledge on a variety of topics. They shape the way the firm connects with people— from clients to employees to alumni—strengthening institutional relationships, connections, and affiliations.
In addition to working with communications and media relations colleagues across the firm, you will work with the Partner responsible for Global Engagement and Internal Communications, Managing Partner for North America and their team, and Global Director of Reputation Risk.
In this role, you will be responsible for increasing engagement/connectivity. You will help tell the region’s story internally – both from a people perspective as well as the impact colleagues are helping create across North America. You will help address potential risk situations in collaboration with the firm global communications team.
You will develop proactive and reactive internal communications and engagement strategies and materials to help engage colleagues in North America on firm strategy as well as the firm’s purpose, mission and values.
You will provide internal communications advice and hands-on, executional support to firm leaders at a local, national, and regional level. You will also help create internal events/conferences, recognizing a high bar for innovation in a post-COVID world. Leveraging your strong verbal and written communication skills, you will develop engaging communications for internal audiences including messaging for leadership, communications campaigns and new channels. You’ll take complex subject matter and distill this information into digestible content appropriate for various audiences inside the firm.
You will leverage a broad range of internal communications and project management skills, strategic thinking, flawless operational and tactical execution in order to establish a trusted advisor relationship with senior firm leaders and operate effectively within a fast-paced, often virtual, environment.
