Your primary role will be to provide client service, dedicating over 60% of your time to this responsibility. You will support client programs and act as a specialist on client engagements, leveraging your expertise in procurement-related topics. Your role will involve driving the firm's tools forward and presenting them to clients and client teams, serving as the expert for procurement-specific workstreams.
In addition to client service, you will support proposal preparation by incorporating the firm's best relevant knowledge and experts. You will execute specific parts of client engagements to advance the practice, aiding in the definition of organization set-ups, roles and responsibilities, processes, and systems for global purchasing organizations. You will also drive knowledge dissemination efforts within the firm, guiding consultants on the latest procurement and supply management topics.
As a specialist in procurement-related topics, you will contribute to knowledge development by helping to drive the creation of new cutting-edge knowledge, with some coverage from experts. This investment in knowledge development will aim to enhance our client development efforts, reputation-building initiatives, and client engagements.
Furthermore, you will focus on team building by guiding team members to deliver on low-complexity projects, thereby building their capability. You will also conduct internal McKinsey training sessions on procurement for your colleagues within the firm.
