The Māori & Pasifika Scholarship and Internship is an opportunity designed to recognise talent and diversity within the Australian and New Zealand offices.
We believe in developing Māori & Pasifika leaders who are passionate about creating impact. To support your personal and professional growth we are offering a number of paid consulting internship opportunities in our New Zealand office, as well as a potential pathway for a full time role and the opportunity to receive a $20,000 scholarship.
When you join McKinsey as an intern, you are joining a firm that will challenge you and invest heavily in your professional development. You will have the opportunity to work on teams and help the best organisations in the world - across the private, public and social sectors - solve some of their most difficult problems.

What You'll Do

You will work in a client team and play an active role in all aspects of the client engagement.
In this role, your responsibilities will include gathering and analysing information and developing and communicating recommendations. The internship is between 4-8 weeks depending on your university schedule. You will gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm and will receive on-going coaching and mentoring from colleagues on your team.
You will work with your McKinsey colleagues and with the client team, owning a distinct piece of the project. Some examples of the specific work may include interviewing clients, leading client teams, building financial models, creating and delivering presentations, and working with McKinsey subject experts to develop perspectives and insights for the client.
Coaching and mentorship will be an integral part of your development at McKinsey. You will receive ongoing support, peers will give you feedback and will help you grow and plan the next several years of your career and you will be supported at every stage of the application and interview process.
