Who You'll Work With

You will work with GCI (Global Concept and Insights) team which is the analytical backbone of McKinsey’s Commercial Banking and Payments practice that provides deep analytics, research, and benchmarking to financial institutions. The Payments Map team at GCI serves the growing payment industry with explosive annual growth of >20%.

What You'll Do

You will build and maintain GCI’s flagship product in Payments (McKinsey Global Payments Map) using your analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, and deliver McKinsey’s flagship payments research product and help clients shape their payments strategy via best-in-class research and modeling techniques.
You will serve as a central source of payments industry knowledge and expertise – identify topics of interest in payments space, draft research leveraging quantitative and qualitative data analysis, consumer/commercial usage patterns of payment methods to provide actionable insights and recommendations and develop reports and presentations for clients.

Qualifications

  • High performing Business Analysts in good standing with the firm
  • 1+ years of experience in payments, banking, treasury management and analytics
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with a keen interest in driving and scaling new offering with massive potential and strong sponsorship
  • Strong MS-Excel and modelling skills
  • Experience with project management software, , data visualization tools, and statistics is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
