Who You'll Work With

You’ll work in our Prague office as part of our Adoption & Performance Management team within McKinsey and Company’s Optimize Function. The Adoption & Performance Management team partners with Optimize groups to ensure adoption of procurement best practices and enable strategic decision making, performance tracking, and reporting for key metrics. Optimize is the firm’s procurement function focusing on the end-to-end category management approach through following responsible buying practices and processes.

Your impact within our firm

You will drive value by delivering and managing a reporting system that enables Optimize to measure performance of key procurement initiatives, fostering innovation and continuous improvement across several analytical workstreams, and collaborating with Optimize SMEs and other relevant leaders to reinforce McKinsey’s broader objectives and value proposition.  
You will build analytical capacity across the function by developing success metrics for initiatives and categories, enhancing tools and techniques to track and report on performance, and serving as a critical thought partner for continuous improvement. This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to support the delivery and implementation of performance management and data strategy objectives, ensuring they aligns with broader Optimize and McKinsey goals.  

Your qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, finance, engineering, operations, or other analytical field
  • 4+ years’ experience in business, consulting, research, quantitative fields
  • Deep understanding of analytic tools & problem-solving toolkit
  • Technical knowledge in relevant software applications and data models, including but not limited to: Tableau, PowerBI, Knime, Snowflake
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functions at all organizational levels
  • Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing
  • Comfort with navigating ambiguous situations with thoughtfulness and pragmatism
  • Strong problem solving, structuring, communications and client service capabilities
  • An entrepreneurial, action and growth-oriented mindset
  • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint
