Life insurance

  • conducting a deep dive on corporate life past performance and defining the 2020 ambition level of a tier-two player
  • defining the financial plan for a life insurer and estimating main financials (i.e., operating profit, margins, capital, and cash strain)
  • defining the 2020 life strategy for a global life player

Non-life insurance

  • setting up an SME business line for tier-two insurer, including defining a product catalog and leading a pilot execution for the first product in the catalog
  • defining P&C product strategy and product catalogs for an Italian insurer and European players

OPS/IT

  • integrating life systems of Italian insurers, including migration strategies of in-force policies
  • rationalizing a P&C in-force product catalog for a primary Italian insurer and defining a new business catalog for retail and commercial lines
  • defining a target IT architecture for advanced analytics/big data platform for a major Italian insurer

Organization

  • leading multiple reorganization projects for major insurance groups in the context of group CEO transitions
  • defining a risk management function organization, blueprint, key processes/committees, and interfaces with other functions (e.g., finance, investment management)

Risk capital, capital, and balance sheet

  • defining RORAC framework and calculating RORAC development for the financial plan horizon for a leading European insurer
  • estimating risk capital at a product/business line level for several European insurers in the context of a strategic planning exercise
  • defining the strategy for a merger of a major life player, including i) overall strategy, ii) product catalog, and iii) distribution commissions
