No day ever looks the same.
You never stop learning
What I enjoy the most about working at McKinsey is that no day ever looks the same, and you never stop learning. I constantly get to try out new things which spark my curiosity, build competencies in topics I am passionate about, and learn from amazing people with different areas of expertise. At McKinsey, we have this saying that you “make your own McKinsey,” meaning you can shape your career within the firm based on the topics that excite you. However, “making your own McKinsey” does not mean that you must go through it alone. You will have support all along the way.
Supporting one another is an integral part of our culture
One thing that is special about working in teams at McKinsey is the way that we support one another. For instance, we support each other’s professional growth by always bringing frequent and honest feedback to our team members and coaching each other, which is an integral part of our culture. But we also support each other’s well-being and personal needs by always accommodating to the greatest extent possible.
Everyone must feel like they can be their true self at work
At McKinsey, creating and ensuring an inclusive and diverse environment is something that we are all responsible for. Not only do we talk about it, but we practice it by speaking up and addressing any potential issues related to non-inclusive behavior or lack of diverse perspective. Everyone must feel welcome at McKinsey and feel like they can be their true self at work.
