I truly appreciate how diverse our office is, and I am grateful for how much I learn from colleagues with perspectives different from mine.

Insights into management consulting

The opportunity of becoming a Business Analyst in McKinsey caught my attention already during my studies, where I enjoyed applying the theories I learned in practical settings. Throughout my bachelor's degree, I had the pleasure of meeting a few McKinsey consultants and did our eight-week internship. I learned that McKinsey invites students to join as management consultants directly after completing their bachelor's degree, which was not something I could easily find elsewhere. Additionally, I discovered that McKinsey works a lot within the FinTech industry, a sector that I am highly passionate about. Combining these two factors, realized that McKinsey would be a great place for me to start my career.

Diverse colleagues bring diverse perspectives

During my time in McKinsey, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals from a variety of different backgrounds, everything from designers to data scientists. This has taught me how beneficial diverse teams are in solving complex problems, and it has also shown me how such curious and talented colleagues can become close friends. I truly appreciate the diversity of our office, and I am grateful for how much I learn from colleagues with perspectives different from mine.
