As defined by the WHO, self-care in family planning means the ability of individuals, families, and communities to promote and maintain sexual health and prevent unwanted pregnancies, with or without the help of healthcare providers. We combined different demographic and socioeconomic characteristics to identify eight segments in Kenya that are likely to benefit from self-care in family planning.
