The World Economic Forum (WEF) will kick off its 54th annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, on January 15. A curated selection of delegates from global business, government, civil society, media, and academia will convene to address the world’s most pressing issues and set priorities for the year ahead. “Geopolitics will be paramount, as will politics, in general, and the implications for business,” says Sven Smit, senior partner and member of the 2024 Davos delegation. “The tech revolution and sustainability will also be big topics that we engage on with leaders.” Discussions across topics will center on the fundamental principles driving trust, including transparency, consistency, and accountability.
Over the next two weeks, we’ll bring you daily insights on the key themes of this year’s meeting—you can bookmark this page for daily #WEF24 updates.
