Senior Partner at McKinsey and the former chair of MGI. As chair of MGI, he led research and authors MGI reports on global economic trends and topics such as productivity and growth, urbanization, innovation and technology, labor markets, the future of work, emerging markets, the energy transition and climate adaptation, and Europe’s economic outlook. Previous roles Sven has held within McKinsey included chairing our Insights and Ecosystems work and leading the firm’s work in Western Europe and the global Strategy & Corporate Finance Practice.

Former senior partner, office leader for France, and chair of MGI until 2018, where he led the Firm's knowledge-building efforts. He served as chairman and president of the École Polytechnique in Paris and is currently the president and co-founder of IDEL Partners, chairman of the supervisory board of Ekimetrics, senior advisor at Antin Infrastructure Partners, independent member of the board of Rexel, and chairman of the Supervisory Committee of Investments for the Future in France.

Former Senior Partner at McKinsey and MGI chair until 2016 and served global corporations, financial institutions, and the public sector for more than 30 years. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor at Centerbridge and Chairman of the Supervisory Boards of Morgan Stanley Europe SE. He is Member of the Supervisory Board of ALDI Nord Holding Stiftung GmbH, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Yttrium GmbH, Member of the Supervisory Board of IABG GmbH and Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Hertie Foundation.

Former chairman of MGI and firm's knowledge building efforts. Previously served as a McKinsey director and a public sector practice leader based in San Francisco and Washington, D.C. He previously served as the State of California's Chief Economic and Business Advisor and Director of the Office of Business and Economic Development, and Co-chair of California Forward.

Led MGI from 2002–2008 and was a director of the McKinsey Center for Government. Served as deputy director of the US National Economic Council and deputy assistant to the president for economic policy under President Obama. Most recently, she was the founding President and Chief Executive Officer of the JPMorgan Chase Institute. Currently is an independent director and trustee of various organizations, including The Pew Charitable Trusts, eBay, Urban Institute, the National Bureau of Economic Research, and the National Academies of Sciences’ Committee on National Statistics.

Former director of McKinsey, led knowledge building efforts and had a 27-year career at the firm. He co-founded MGI and later served as its chairman.

Was a partner of McKinsey for 20 years and co-founding director of MGI from its founding in 1990 until his retirement from McKinsey in 2001.

Former London-based director of MGI and McKinsey senior partner. He also served as Director General of Financial Services at HM Treasury and as Second Permanent Secretary to the Treasury and is currently chair of Lloyds.

Co-founded McKinsey's China office where she worked with Chinese and global businesses and served as a director of MGI from 2013-2025. She is currently a Visiting Professor of Global China Studies and Business at NYU and a Distinguished Visiting Faculty at the Schwarzman Scholars Program at Tsinghua University. She serves on the boards of Delterra, Tianjin Juilliard and Project Drawdown.

A former senior partner and MGI director, led McKinsey and MGI research on technology trends, AI, and the future of work and cofounded Women in the Workplace. She is currently a Vice President at Google.
