Qiyada Virtual Program

A 100-day online journey to train and upskill 100,000 future leaders from across the region during the time of COVID-19.

The world of work is changing rapidly as artificial intelligence, automation, and robotics create the need for new skillsets. While some jobs will be lost, and many others created, almost all will change. Our commitment is to ensure that young talent are equipped with the right management and digital skills that will help them succeed.  

We are delighted to launch our Qiyada Virtual Program, a three-month journey that will reach over 100,000 young leaders from across the region.

As a Qiyada Virtual Program participant, you will build your business management and leadership capabilities, and develop a wide range of digital skills that will prepare you to compete and thrive in the future of work.

The Program

The program will take place from April to July 2020, and will be run completely virtually through a series of  mobile-friendly, digital learning modules. Participants can go on this virtual journey at their own pace, when it best suits their schedules.

Leadership and Reskilling Academy course offerings:

2-3 hours
Structured Thinking
Learn how to define, structure and prioritize problems. Understand how to use SMART to define the problem, learn how to use logic trees to disaggregate the problem, and learn the value of 80/20 thinking.
2-3 hours
Communicate with Impact
Learn how to synthesize and tailor communications, verbally and visually. Understand how to convey a complex message in a concise and clear manner, learn about how to use the pyramid principle appropriately, and learn how to elicit presence and gravitas when presenting.

Lead Self
Learn how to develop trust, identify your strengths and manage your daily energy. Articulate your personal vision rooted in purpose, understand the three step model in framing, understand the importance of trust and its four dimensions, know the six Ds of prioritizing, and understand how to manage your energy, instead of time.

Lead Others
Learn how to coach and provide feedback within your team. Recognize the four elements of high-performing teams, understand how to set clear structures to ensure alignment of expectations within the team, know constructive step-by-step approach for feedback, and understand the elements and benefits of diversity.

The Power of Digital
To compete in a digital world, organizations must anticipate change and drive innovation. This means adopting a Digital mindset; one that cuts across functions and roles and drives impact across the entire value chain.
This course will teach you what this mindset entails, and the demonstrable benefits of adopting a digital business model.
80 minutes
Agile 101

Agile 101 will help you understand when and how agile techniques should be applied to improve processes for your organization.
Articulate the business value of agile and how agile thinking differs from the traditional waterfall approach to design. Identify opportunities to incorporate scrum processes and avoid common pitfalls in transitioning to agile.

40 minutes
Introduction to Design Thinking

Whether you’re developing a product, a service, a process, or even a business model, traditional thinking can inhibit innovation and impact. Design thinking is different: it is iterative and agile, and it takes a user-first approach to problem solving, characterized by solutions that are visualized and tested.

This course will equip you to start approaching projects from a design-thinking standpoint.

Introduction to Customer Insights
This course showcases the latest and most impactful techniques used by digital organizations to generate insights.
It is anchored in case studies that demonstrate how consumer research has driven success for B2C organizations, though many of the tools and techniques are also relevant for B2B.

The Power of Data
The Power of Data will help participants understand the importance of data in business decision-making, new and unconventional sources of data, and the risks involved with using this data.
