Ruchin advises leaders in the oil and gas and chemicals sectors in the EEMA region. He works with both public- and private-sector entities, including national oil companies, sovereign wealth funds, helping them to grow organically and inorganically, improve financial performance, and meet sustainability goals.
Ruchin’s recent client projects include the following:
- designing a large-scale transformation for the downstream portfolio of a national oil company and leading the transformation at several refining and chemicals sites that included: full-potential transformation at a complex and integrated downstream site and diagnostic and bottom-up planning phases of a transformation at large Middle Eastern refineries
- supporting a national oil company in its chemicals-growth journey, including over ten organic and inorganic deals across the globe
- designing the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy for a large petrochemicals company
- supporting the downstream portfolio of a national oil company in their decarbonization journey
- leading the materials-innovation program for a Middle Eastern country to identify new products and applications across sectors, including building and construction, packaging, and transportation
- leading the development and execution of a more than $200 billion chemicals-growth strategy for a Middle Eastern country with a focus on downstream and specialty chemicals
- supporting a number of M&A deals for localization of materials-value chains for sovereign-wealth funds and national oil companies
Prior to joining McKinsey, Ruchin also worked in corporate and investment banking.
