Why McKinsey?
What attracted me to McKinsey most was the people. I had the chance to work closely with McKinsey as a client and was inspired by the team on the project. They were fun, genuinely caring, and helped me develop professionally. In a few weeks, I experienced a very steep learning curve, building my problem solving, analytics, and leadership skills from the consultants on the project. I continued to meet ‘rock stars’ through my interviews and have been very fortunate with the teams I have worked with.
Why Lagos?
Lagos is a bustling city and has so much potential. I love the energy and being able to see the city grow a little more every day. I am constantly meeting new people and discovering places to go.
More about myself?
I am originally from Kano, Nigeria but I grew up mostly in the US until the age of 13. Thereafter I lived in Lome, Wales, Montreal, Tunis, D.C., and eventually found my way back to Nigeria. Prior to joining McKinsey, I worked in Abuja setting up a new program to improve maternal and child health nationwide for a Federal Government initiative. I absolutely love to travel and explore new countries, cultures, and cuisine. I am also quite active and enjoy playing basketball and all kinds of water sports. I learned to sail in Lagos and race competitively every weekend.
