Ali, a partner at McKinsey’s office in Dubai, has over 12 years of extensive experience helping public sector clients, international financial institutions, and investors across MENA, Africa, South Asia, Europe, and North America.

Specializing in infrastructure financing and PPPs, Ali has been pivotal in developing frameworks that enhance private funding in public projects and has led the structuring of numerous high-impact infrastructure deals.

His notable projects include leading national infrastructure assessments, developing business cases for pathfinder PPP deals in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and pioneering innovative projects such as the replacement of streetlights with LED units, which won the “Global Road Achievement Award.” Beyond GCC, Ali has helped clients in Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and North America on mobilizing private capital for infrastructure investments.

Ali’s strategic acumen is further exemplified by his role in helping set up new funds and partnerships that have collectively attracted over USD 10 billion in private capital, spanning diverse asset classes.

Before joining McKinsey, Ali interned at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Ernst & Young, gaining valuable early exposure to global development challenges and financial strategies.
