David leads our wealth and asset management work in Japan and is based in our Tokyo office. He serves financial institutional clients across Asia, with more than twenty years of experience in both consulting, and wealth and asset management.

Examples of his recent client work include:

  • Developing wealth management growth strategy for a leading Asian bank
  • Helping a domestic Asian bank design and launch new wealth management products for pre-retirees
  • Developing comprehensive growth strategies for leading domestic Asian asset management companies
  • Developing Japan-focused growth strategies for global asset managers

Prior to joining McKinsey, David spent ten years at a leading global asset and wealth management company where he served in a variety of executive leadership roles, including Japan country CEO, and leading distribution for financial advisory and retirement businesses in the United States. Prior to his business career, David was a cellist with the Hong Kong Philharmonic.
