Dmitry leads our product development and procurement function within McKinsey’s Operations Practice in the Japan office, working with both Japanese and international clients across the automotive, medical devices, consumer, and retail sectors. His focus is on the improvement of profit margins through end-to-end variable cost transformations. This involves digital operational efficiency, advanced procurement strategies, value-driven product development, and tech innovations. Collaborating with Quantum Black, AI by McKinsey, Dmitry is at the forefront of integrating generative AI and generative design in client operations.

Recent examples of Dmitry’s client work include the following:

  • applying generative design for a passenger car manufacturer to tackle complex design challenges and accelerate product development
  • supporting the development of a global sourcing strategy for a commercial vehicle maker
  • conducting a value analysis and implementing a value engineering program for an automotive electronics supplier
  • helping direct cost transformation and procurement excellence initiatives in various other sectors.
