Associate PartnerMadrid

Helps industrial and energy clients improve their operational performance and accelerate their energy transition strategies. He is also a leader for Prism (Progressing Representation and Inclusion in Social Mobility), McKinsey’s network for colleagues interested in social mobility and broadening others’ access to our firm.

Eduardo Perez-Verdia is an associate partner in McKinsey’s Madrid office. He supports industrial and energy clients across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East to improve their operational performance. Additionally, he helps clients devise, optimize, and accelerate the delivery of their energy transition strategies.

Eduardo is a leader for PRISM in Iberia, McKinsey’s network for colleagues who come from challenging socioeconomic backgrounds, which is focused on progressing representation and inclusion in social mobility.

Eduardo’s leadership role with PRISM is especially meaningful given his roots, and he credits his grandfather—who didn’t finish elementary school and could barely write—for motivating him to step out of his comfort zone, win scholarships, and go on to study abroad and earn his MBA.

That path led him to become the first person from his hometown of León, Mexico, to become a McKinsey consultant, a career trajectory that has taken him from supporting small- and middle-sized companies in Mexico’s industrial heartland to serving McKinsey clients across the globe.

Eduardo volunteers at Fundación Dádoris, a Spanish non-profit that helps students of excellence who need financial support attend university. Additionally, he mentors students from diverse economic backgrounds in Mexico.

Eduardo loves sports, especially swimming, reading (he’s a big fan of Japanese writer Haruki Murakami), and learning about history through the Empire Podcast and other resources.
