Florian is a senior partner and leads McKinsey’s Technology Practice, focusing on tech and AI globally and in Europe. As an expert in technology/AI transformations, processes, and analytics, he advises health insurance companies and payers on business and technology topics. His focus is on tech-enabled business transformation—which includes both shaping and implementing the digital business and operating model of his clients and ensuring that the necessary technology foundations are in place to enable true scale and value capture.

  • designed a global business model and business platform at a global insurer and supported rollout to over five countries
  • shaped and delivered multiple national-scale eHealth platforms, from design and product build to rollout and adoption
  • led an at-scale operating model transformation of a global insurer, targeting more than €1 billion in savings across a holistic set of levers (AI/productivity, shoring and sourcing, legacy modernization, globalization, etc.)
  • led agentic PDLC/SDLC transformations at multiple institutions, including particular use in legacy modernization
  • developed target IT strategies and architecture design for 30+ institutions across most industries, including financial services, life sciences, automotive, and logistics
  • designed and provided long-term support for various multiyear life, P&C, and health insurance platforms
  • helped institutions rapidly strengthen cyber, risk, and regulatory capabilities through remediation and crisis-response programs, including recent responses to AI use in cyber
