As a leader in McKinsey’s global semiconductor and electronics unit, Giulietta drives transformational programs with advanced industries and semiconductor clients along the full value chain, including semiconductor equipment companies, integrated device manufacturers (IDMs), fabless, foundries, and customers (e.g., machinery, aerospace), with a focus on operations, strategy and people topics.
Deeply committed to sectors that are at the forefront of innovation, generating positive impact to all areas of the economy and to our lives, work, and society as a whole, Giulietta combines a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, related market dynamics and operations (e.g., manufacturing and supply chain, product development and procurement, capital excellence), with the “human” side, including expertise in people, talent and organizational topics.
Examples of her recent work include some of the most iconic companies in the industrial space:
- helping lead new fab build programs for major semiconductor companies in the US and Europe
- assisting a semiconductor company in an end-to-end talent, HR and operating model transformation
- leading a plant turnaround at a European semiconductor IDM
- supporting a procurement transformation for a major US IDM
- advising a European semiconductor manufacturer on a holistic supply chain transformation
Giulietta leads McKinsey’s “Industrial Automation” and “Talent in Semiconductors” global initiatives. She convenes McKinsey’s T-30 Europe summit for top executives from semiconductor, technology, and industrial companies. The summit is a platform designed to foster dialogue and share learnings in an informal setting. She is also the key sponsor of McKinsey’s Semiconductor Insights Platform, and frequently publishes on semiconductors, automation, and advanced industries topics, and speaks at relevant conferences from leading industry associations.
Giulietta is also the EMEA “All-in, Diversity & Inclusion” leader for our advanced industries unit, leading initiatives to attract and retain female talent in sectors where the male gender has traditionally been prevalent.
