Hege advises oil and gas company executives. Thinking broadly across strategy development, operating model evolution, performance improvements, and technology innovation, she transforms businesses by closing capability and performance gaps and unlocking value.

When Hege joined McKinsey’s Petroleum Asset eXcellence team in 2017, she brings with her more than a decade of consulting experience in the oil and gas sector. In the course of her advisory work, she has collaborated with senior leaders and executives at a wide variety of oil and gas companies and service providers across the globe. Hege also brings hands-on experience working for an oil and gas company where she worked on project development and portfolio strategy, and as an engineer she built two offshore installations.

Since joining McKinsey, Hege has led projects for oil and gas operators to unlock full potential of their portfolios.

Keenly interested in the future of the oil sector, Hege is a regular speaker at industry events around the world, offering perspectives on industry dynamics and topics such as oil company restructuring, capability, technology and capital project management. She has authored numerous reports and articles on the future of big oil.
