Jalil Bensouda has been a senior managing partner at the McKinsey Cairo office since 2021 and previously led the firm’s activities for Francophone Africa for nearly a decade.
Specializing in large-scale transformations of leading organizations, Jalil assists boards and CEOs in defining their growth strategies and establishing foundations for successful implementation and sustainable impact. His expertise includes operational and commercial turnarounds, as well as creating value through tech-enabled transformations across various industries in Africa.
Beyond his professional role, Jalil is extremely passionate about upskilling and creating opportunities for the next generation of Egyptians through job creation and social responsibility initiatives.
Before joining McKinsey, Jalil spent 12 years in top management positions across airline, banking, and pharmaceutical industries. He is also the founder of a greenfield gypsum business that became a leading player in North Africa.
