Laurens is a leader in McKinsey’s Private Equity & Principal Investors Practice, based in New York. He advises private equity groups across the entire investment cycle with a focus on the industrials, materials, and technology sectors.

He is the global coleader of McKinsey’s chemicals and private equity joint venture. Previously, Laurens helped launch McKinsey's private equity exit support capability, supporting private equity portfolio companies in preparing for an upcoming sale.

Laurens started his career in McKinsey’s Brussels office.
