Michael joined McKinsey in 2015 and is a partner in our London office. He coleads McKinsey’s work in pre-acute and post-acute care and healthcare private equity. He is also a leader of the McKinsey Health Institute (MHI) in the United Kingdom, with a focus on brain health. Michael supports payers, providers, and private equity portfolio companies on growth strategy of healthcare assets across outpatient care, home health, senior living, and outpatient behavioral health.

Some of his recent client work includes the following:

  • supporting private equity investors on buy-side diligences and exit support across primary care, specialty care, outpatient therapy, home-based care, pharma services, and medical device targets
  • working with private healthcare providers across the United States, Latin America, and Europe on outpatient growth strategy and operational transformations
  • leading the growth strategy for several health insurance payers, including vertical integration plays (e.g., M&A into healthcare providers) and international market expansion
