Michael is a partner in McKinsey’s healthcare practice focused on helping healthcare providers and healthcare services companies create strategy, transform operations, and grow top-line performance. He leads McKinsey’s Revenue Excellence capabilities for providers, including growth, pricing, revenue cycle management, diversified revenues, and M&A.
Some of his recent client work includes the following:
- supporting numerous large-scale transformations targeting over $400m and focused on growth, revenue cycle management, pricing, labor, organizational design, and external spend
- developing a growth strategy for a technology-enabled healthcare services business focused on organic growth, adjacent services, end-market prioritization, and M&A
- creating a post-acute and ambulatory strategy for a large, national healthcare provider, focused on growth, partnerships, and portfolio rationalization
- designing a physician alignment and population health strategy for a large regional healthcare provider, focused on Clinically Integrated Networks (CIN), narrow network products, and utilization management capabilities
