He advises private-equity firms and asset managers across the investment cycle on topics including asset allocation, investment strategy, due diligence, and portfolio optimization. He is a coleader of our portfolio value creation work, where he drives transformational impact for investors and portfolio-company management teams.

Before joining McKinsey, Richard was an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions.
