Implementation LeaderJohannesburg

Partners with clients to deliver large-scale transformation programs, focusing on implementing complex projects while also building skills and capabilities

With an astute understanding of the business environment that fuels performance, Sheradia helps guide major transformation and operational programs at companies across industries and geographies. Drawing on a passion for uplifting people and supporting organizational change, she seamlessly integrates with both senior executives and everyday decision-makers whilst still maintaining a consultant's objective perspective to instill best practices and promote excellence.

Since joining McKinsey Implementation in 2012, Sheradia has spent the majority of her time in the transportation, mining, and energy sectors orchestrating transformation initiatives. Her previous experience in the banking industry and her versatile skill set enable her to tackle a range of challenges. For example, she uses her project management skills and experience to help companies create systems for implementing complex projects, including developing business cases, establishing governance structures, and building process and organisational health mechanisms to drive performance culture. In other cases, she has drawn upon her knowledge of operations, organizations, and people to implement sustainable change programs while focusing on transferring new skills to client teams.

Example of her recent work include:

  • Developing and implementing a stakeholder engagement plan for the launch of a multi-million dollar capital-investment program at a large logistics company
  • Establishing a project management office (PMO) tasked with rolling out process and product improvement initiatives of a central capital program
  • Leading projects to create and implement sustainable operational improvements in the maintenance environment across multiple sites at a large utility
  • Supporting a billion dollar scale recovery and transformation project for a mining client, driven through central and site based teams

Before joining McKinsey, Sheradia spent six years working in both retail and business banking in product strategy, development, and implementation. In various roles she developed and launched multiple banking products, and managed a range of transactional, lending, and investment product portfolios and channels.
