Shih-Yung coleads McKinsey’s work on helping industrial companies achieve software and digital growth aspirations. She works broadly across the aerospace and defense, automotive, and industrial sectors. Much of her work focuses on working with clients to define software strategies and the path to accelerating the growth of software and digital businesses. She has specific focus regarding commercial acceleration.

Examples of her recent work include the following:

  • developing and scaling-up new software and digital businesses for multiple automotive, aerospace, and industrial companies, which included concept ideation, product launch, and commercialization
  • guiding the at-scale software transformation for an industrial company’s software business across product development, go-to-market, and product funding
  • transforming the software go-to-market function for an industrial company, including operating model redesign, scaling up of sales and customer success team, and joint-revenue acceleration to embed capabilities
  • assisting with the go-to-market strategy and commercial acceleration of a new software product launched by a recreational vehicle start-up
