Valerie helps consumer goods and retail companies undertake large-scale digital and technology transformations. A leader of our retail core technology work in North America, she helps companies with their end-to-end transformations, anchoring in business strategy and building the right enablers across the operating model, talent, technology, and data. She has deep expertise in the consumer packaged goods, consumer health, apparel, and food service industries.

In addition to supporting companies with their end-to-end transformations, she also advises them on domain strategy, technology enablement, and digital talent and operating model, including design through implementation. With a background in engineering, Valerie is a technologist at heart and passionate about the use of digital and analytics in retail.

Recent examples of Valerie’s client work include the following:

  • designing and implementing a new product and platform operating model for a global consumer health company to accelerate time-to-market, improve employee experience, and increase quality
  • developing a three-year technology vision for a North American luxury retailer, along with the strategy, architecture, and road map for implementation
  • creating the omnichannel technology strategy and architecture for a Latin American grocery retailer to enable growth, enhance customer experience, lower cost, and improve employee happiness
  • designing a multiyear omnichannel acceleration strategy for a North American specialty retailer, including digital marketing, buy-order flow, pricing and promotions, assortment, loyalty, and personalization
  • launching a digital transformation for a North American fast-moving consumer goods company, including mobilizing three product teams (data-driven marketing, autonomous planning, and next-gen procurement), a talent win room, a cloud and data readiness program, as well as a digital factory operating model and organization design
