As a serial entrepreneur, Yaron co-founded Iguazio, an AI, gen AI, and machine-learning operations (MLOps) company that was acquired by McKinsey in January 2023. With the addition of Iguazio, QuantumBlack, the AI arm of McKinsey, helps companies build AI and gen AI solutions that improve productivity, speed up proof of concept to production, and offer more reliability.
Yaron’s expertise spans several decades of technological experience in AI, gen AI, cloud, data, and networking. As the co-founder and CTO of Iguazio, Yaron drives the strategy for the company’s AI solution and led the shift toward the production-first approach to data science and catering to real-time AI use cases. He also initiated and built Nuclio, a leading open-source serverless functions framework with over 5,000 GitHub stars and MLRun, a cutting-edge open-source MLOps orchestration framework.
Prior to co-founding Iguazio in 2014, Yaron was the vice president of Datacenter Solutions at Mellanox (now NVIDIA), where he led technology innovation, software development, and solution integrations. He also served as the CTO and vice president of R&D at Voltaire, a high-performance computing, IO, and networking company that floated on the NYSE in 2007 and was later acquired by Mellanox.
In addition to his client engagements, Yaron is an author, speaker, and contributor to various industry forums. He actively contributes to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation working group, where he was among its inaugural members. He frequently presents at industry events worldwide and regularly publishes on Medium and in publications such as The New Stack, HackerNoon, DZone, and Towards Data Science.
