Joaquín is a Partner in the Panama office. He leads the FIG practice for Central America and the Caribbean, helping financial institutions in the region drive growth through coordinated strategic initiatives.

For over 12 years, he has focused on serving financial institutions in strategy, operations, digital, technology, and organization, and currently, he is focused on serving his clients in digital transformation and launching new digital businesses.

  • Leading the construction of a digital attacker focused on generating credit opportunities for micro-enterprises through digital channels.
  • Heading the transformation of an insurer to venture into new lines, operate more efficiently, and develop new markets.
  • Directing the construction of one of the first digital banks in the region.
  • Leading the definition of the data and technology strategy for a Latin America financial group.
  • Guiding the digital transformation of one of the main banks in Central America.
  • Leading the definition of the cybersecurity roadmap for one of the region's main banks.
  • Leading the strategy definition for two of the main banks in Central America.
