Tim Lillie

Leads McKinsey Transformation across Central America and the Caribbean, and McKinsey’s Chemicals & Agriculture Practice in Latin America. He has delivered successful transformations in a variety of service and manufacturing contexts.

Tim joined McKinsey in 2014 and is a partner in McKinsey’s Panama office, leading McKinsey Transformation in Central America and the Caribbean and our Chemicals & Agriculture Practice in Latin America. He has led teams to develop and execute turnaround plans both as an advisory consultant and in an interim chief transformation officer (CTO) role, reporting directly to CEOs and boards.

Tim has over 15 years of experience principally in agribusiness, extractive industries, and telecommunications. He has significant experience in emerging markets and working with mid-cap and portfolio companies, including while working with investors and family offices.

Some of his recent work includes:

  • diagnosing, designing, and setting up the delivery of operational, digital, and operational model improvements across regional and global agribusiness enterprises
  • leading transformations as an interim CTO, reporting to CEOs and boards, of basic materials and telecoms businesses
  • advising on strategy and transformation across regional private equity portfolios and coaching operating company executives

Prior to joining McKinsey, Tim worked in production and maintenance systems and as an engineering officer. Tim is a native English speaker and fluent in Spanish.
