Vinayak leads McKinsey Digital in Asia–Pacific. He works closely with leading incumbents and fast-growing technology companies across North and South Asia.

Vinayak helps institutions maximize the value from technology by helping imagine, build, and scale new businesses, transform legacy technology to be fit for purpose, and scale AI and analytics capabilities across organizations. With an eye to disruptive and transformative digital opportunities, Vinayak has spent significant time with executives at global and local institutions in Asia as they undertake strategic “big bets” and build new capabilities to be relevant in an increasingly digital world.

Examples of his recent client work include:

  • architecting enterprise-wide GenAI transformations to maximize value from safe and efficient GenAI scaling

  • leading end-to-end AI and digital transformations across organizations to accelerate value creation 

  • building a new B2B2C business for a fast-growing technology start-up
  • leading a comprehensive and ambitious three-year digital transformation program for a leading local company
  • building a greenfield attacker across all aspects: value proposition, customer-tested front-end applications, technology-infrastructure, organization, and talent
  • reducing time to value from analytics by 50 percent, increasing number of models by approximately ten times and industrializing AI and machine learning at scale
  • developing the strategy and business-model design to build a multi-country digital business in Asia–Pacific for a leading global institution
  • developing a multichannel sales model, enabling sales across all digital channels, powered by a next-product-to-buy analytics models and redesigned onboarding customer journeys
  • formulating an innovative digital banking business model focused on the consumer and small and medium-sized enterprise segments, including potential non-bank partnerships for a leading local bank in Asia

Vinayak has helped establish deep fact bases on new trends and dynamics in the Asian markets. He has coauthored several publications on digital and technology trends, and helped set up Build by McKinsey in Asia.
