While efforts have been made to advance racial equity in the workplace, fair and equitable progress has been hard to achieve. In order to move the needle on racial equity, it is crucial that we understand the varying needs of different groups, in addition to individuals with multiple “identities.” In a new article from the McKinsey Institute for Black Economic Mobility, Tania Holt, Tunde Olanrewaju, Dara Olufon, Ammanuel Zegeye, and their coauthors explore the workplace experiences of Black, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani women in the UK, a group who are at the greatest disadvantage on key metrics of workplace equality compared with all other ethnicity and gender combinations, according to recent McKinsey research. Dive into the data and see what UK companies can do to improve their experiences and amplify impact on racial equity.
