Liz is a leader in McKinsey’s Private Equity & Principal Investors Practice and helps lead our consumer private equity work in the Americas.

The primary focus of Liz’s client work is portfolio company and due diligence efforts for private equity companies, in which she leverages her deep experience within the consumer sector. She also leads transaction-related work for a number of retail and consumer-packaged-goods companies, including investor teardowns, carve-outs, and due diligences.

Examples of Liz’s recent client work include the following:

  • advising multiple private equity companies on commercial due-diligence plans for targets across a variety of sectors, in both consumer-related industries, such as fitness, apparel, furniture, grocery, consumer packaged goods, wellness, and other industries like healthcare, software, and industrials
  • supporting strategy development for portfolio companies across sectors, including assessing the attractiveness and feasibility of opportunities for growth and exploration of new customer verticals, products, and geographies
  • advising a retailer on the potential sale of a business unit, including assessing business-unit performance, competitive positioning, market outlook, and attractiveness of strategic options
  • performing a rapid investor-style teardown for a retailer while assessing its recent performance and internal challenges as well as the megatrends shaping the environment to generate a spectrum of potential options for the company
