Meet the partners attending Davos 2024

The World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos kicks off next week, and as a strategic partner to WEF, the 2024 McKinsey delegation will join other world leaders from government, business, and civil society to discuss global issues and set priorities for the year ahead. Andres Cadena

 

Andres Cadena is a senior partner in the Bogotá office. He leads McKinsey’s Strategy & Corporate Finance, Financial Services, and Public Sector Practices in Latin America and heads the McKinsey Center for Government in the region. He is a member of the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) Council, which advises MGI research on global economic, business, and technology trends, and directs the firm’s work in Latin America on sustainable cities and economic development.

Acha Leke

 

Acha Leke is a senior partner in the Johannesburg office, chairman of McKinsey’s Africa region, and a member of McKinsey’s Shareholders Council. He started his career at McKinsey as a summer associate in South Africa in 1998. He rejoined the firm in Atlanta in 1999 and transferred back to Johannesburg in 2002 to help expand the firm’s activities across sub-Saharan Africa. Acha relocated to Lagos in 2010 to open up the firm’s newly established office in Nigeria and returned to South Africa in 2014. He leads the firm’s Private Equity & Principal Investors Practice in Africa and is a member of the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) Council.

Tunde Olanrewaju

 

Tunde Olanrewaju is a senior partner in the London office and the managing partner for McKinsey’s UK, Ireland, and Israel offices. In his client service, Tunde leads our fintech work in Europe, and is one of the leaders that helped create McKinsey Digital, which builds design, engineering, analytics, and product capabilities within the firm to support clients in the digital transformation of organizations, the launch of disruptive attacker propositions, and exploiting data analytics at scale.

Liz Hilton Segel

 

Liz Hilton Segel is a senior partner in the New York office and McKinsey’s chief client officer (CCO). She leads McKinsey’s ten sector groups and 22 global industry practices and oversees the firm’s client service. As CCO, Liz is responsible for McKinsey’s client service functions, which include client experience, offerings, development, and analytics. Liz sits on the firm’s 15-person global leadership team, and is a member of McKinsey’s Shareholders’ Council, the equivalent to our board of directors. She was previously the managing partner for McKinsey in North America, the managing partner of the Growth, Marketing & Sales Practice in the Americas, and also the managing partner of the New York office.

Kate Smaje

 

Kate Smaje is a senior partner in the London office. She works with clients to deploy the power of data, digital culture and capabilities, and modernized core technology. Kate has been a core leader of our consumer work for many years, helping leading retailers and consumer-facing companies capture opportunities afforded by new growth platforms, rethink consumer-engagement models, and improve organizational performance. She also has firsthand experience as a chief technology officer across core technology, digital product management and innovation, and cybersecurity work, and is a coauthor of Rewired: The McKinsey Guide to Outcompeting in the Age of Digital and AI.

Sven Smit

 

Sven is a senior partner in the Amsterdam office and the chair of the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI). He also chairs McKinsey’s insights and ecosystems work. He is a current member of the firm’s global leadership team, the Shareholders’ Council, which oversees the firm's knowledge development. Sven works with leading companies to develop strategies for growth and serves all industries, analyzing the success factors required for business growth, examining the way megatrends influence it, and defining the lessons of diversified growth. He leads research and authors MGI reports on global economic trends and topics such as productivity and growth, urbanization, innovation and technology, labor markets, the future of work, emerging markets, and Europe's economic outlook.

Yuito Yamada

 

Yuito Yamada is a partner in the Tokyo office.
