Noshir co-heads McKinsey’s alliances and ecosystems initiatives worldwide. Based out of the firm’s Mumbai office, Noshir is a leader with 25 years of strategy development, organization restructuring, and performance improvement experience. He has shaped the digital, analytics, and technology journeys of several global enterprises and providers. He has also served governments in India and around the world on policy development, transformation of public services, and delivery of institutional capabilities with a proven track record of recruiting, managing, and leading teams across the world.
Previously, he led McKinsey’s global Technology, Media, & Telecommunications Practice and also founded and led QuantumBlack (McKinsey's AI practice) from 2016 to 2020, as well as our India office our Managing Partner from 2011 to 2016. Noshir founded McKinsey’s global outsourcing and offshoring centres and McKinsey’s business technology office in India. He is a member of McKinsey’s Shareholders Council (our global governance board), sits on the advisory board of the McKinsey Knowledge Center, and is a member of the McKinsey Global Institute Council, which advises on MGI research on global economic, business, and technology trends. He was also involved in setting up the Indian School of Business (ISB), a joint initiative between McKinsey, Wharton, London Business School, and Kellogg School of Management to build a world-class business school in India.
Noshir has served as a jury member for the Forbes India Leadership Awards, the Economic Times Young Leaders Awards, and the Business Standard Awards. He has numerous citations for his work on technology in leading publications, such as The Economist, New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and the Economic Times.
