Andreea steers McKinsey’s economic analytics agenda in the Middle East and manages high-profile strategic initiatives for leading governments. During the course of more than 15 years, she has worked with more than 30 ministries and government entities on economic development agendas, with a specific focus on industrial development, the fourth industrial revolution, innovation, and technology.

Dedicated to the belief that principled government action, technological innovation, and courageous leadership will better humanity, Andreea advises on fair and equitable public policies, strategies, and economic development in the post-oil era as well as helping leaders inspire their organizations to transform. She has also worked in Eastern Europe and Afghanistan in post-conflict reconstruction projects with public, private, and non-profit organizations.

Andreea’s recent projects include the following:

  • Setting up a resilience consortium at an economic focused non-profit to build resilience for a future of sustainable and inclusive growth
  • Leading the economic development agendas of country-wide, fourth industrial revolution strategies for government entities within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Africa, and Southeast Asia, which focused on identifying value plays and enabling governments to provide a full spectrum of policies, investments, and private-sector partnerships
  • Developing the in-house economic analytics capabilities for multiple ministries and development authorities, including macro-monitoring, forecasting, impact assessments, and new measures beyond GDP
  • Leading a comprehensive strategy and implementation plan in the Middle East to boost small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) innovation and productivity through adoption of innovative technologies; over 1,000 SMEs were surveyed across more than 30 subsectors, with a specific focus on manufacturing, transportation, and logistics
  • Managing a national effort to accelerate government effectiveness and institutional resilience; developed world-class benchmarks and a “whole-of-government” approach to public-sector reform

Before joining McKinsey, Andreea worked as a consultant specializing in industrial development and public sector transformation in the Middle East. She also took the lead in driving initiatives related to the future of production and manufacturing.
