Nick is the regional leader of the Operations Practice in the Middle East and previously led McKinsey’s work on purchasing for several years. He is also a senior partner in the Capital Projects & Infrastructure Practice.

Now a senior partner in the Abu Dhabi office, Nick joined McKinsey’s Stockholm office in 1996. In recent years, Nick has served a range of players in the infrastructure and construction space, including engineering and construction firms, real estate developers, transport agencies and other government entities, and infrastructure planners and policymakers.

Examples of his recent projects include advising a leading global construction company on its corporate strategy, supporting a European government in developing an infrastructure productivity improvement strategy, advising a European transportation agency on a number of operational improvement topics, supporting a Middle East construction company on its corporate transformation, helping a European developer design an affordable housing strategy, and supporting a construction company in reducing the cost of mega projects through improved purchasing and lean construction techniques.

In addition to his work with infrastructure and construction players, Nick has served clients in the Travel, Transport, & Logistics, Automotive & Assembly, Retail, Energy, and Private Equity industries on a range of strategic and operational issues. Prior to joining McKinsey, Nick worked in private equity.
