Leads high-impact transformations in the TMT space by helping companies drive top-line growth and maximize efficiency through digital-analytics and operating-model transformations

Rami is a partner in McKinsey’s Abu Dhabi office. Since joining the firm in 2008, his work has focused on transformations across strategy, operations, and marketing-and-sales topics in the telecommunications sector.

Rami has deep expertise in supporting clients to strengthen their sourcing and operations functions through next-generation solutions leveraging digital-and-analytics upgrades and operating-model transformations. This includes more than ten cost transformations for telecom operators, including major groups with presence across more than 15 countries, achieving cumulative efficiencies in excess of $3 billion (typically over 20 percent of the addressed cost base).

On the strategy-and-marketing side, Rami has led multiple transformations across growth strategy, market entry, defense strategy against new entrants, pricing, segmentation, and sales-channel transformation. These engagements have helped his clients achieve disproportionate top-line growth and market-share gain against competitors.

Rami also has experience in building digital businesses, where he has helped build and scale a highly successful end-to-end digital telecom operator, which included tech development, design, product ownership, and digital marketing.

Rami has an MBA from the Wharton School, with honors and a concentration in management and finance, along with a BEng in mechanical engineering, with distinction, from the American University of Beirut.

Rami is fluent in Arabic and English and is proficient in French.
